Method 1: Measure an Existing Ring
Take a ring that fits the intended finger. Measure the inside diameter straight across from edge to edge in millimeters. Compare your measurement to the chart above.

Method 2: Measure Your Finger
Wrap a piece of string or paper (no wider than 1.4 cm) around the base of your finger. Mark where the ends overlap. Measure the length in millimeters — this is your circumference.

Fit Recommendations

1. Between sizes? Size up, especially for wider bands.
2. Wide bands (6mm+): These feel tighter than narrow bands. Consider going up 1/4 to 1/2 size.
3. Time of day: Fingers are largest at the end of the day and smallest in the morning. Measure when hands are warm and at moderate temperature.
4. Dominant hand: Fingers on your dominant hand are often slightly larger.
5. Ring profile: Rings with tall or heavy tops may roll or shift, affecting comfort even when the band size is correct. Please choose the style that suits you, as everyone's anatomy is different.
6. Finger shape: Some fingers have pronounced knuckles requiring a larger size to pass over, while the base is narrower. A ring must accommodate the largest point while still fitting securely at the base.

We adhere to standard US jewelry industry ring size tolerances. Finished rings may exhibit slight dimensional variation from the nominal target size due to the manufacturing process. The accepted industry variance is typically within 1/4 of a size larger or 1/8 of a size smaller than the stated size. This tolerance is normal and reflects the realities of casting, finishing, and polishing metal. Ring sizing is not an exact science, and minor deviations are inherent to the craft.

Handmade Variance: Handcrafted and cast jewelry may exhibit slight deviations from nominal sizes due to metal shrinkage during casting, material loss during finishing and polishing, and the individual techniques of the jeweler. In batch production involving hand processes, a tolerance of approximately ±0.3 US size (roughly ±0.4mm in diameter) is widely considered standard within the global jewelry industry. Even precision manufacturing cannot entirely eliminate these variables.

Sizing Recommendations

Measure at the Right Time: Take measurements at room temperature, ideally at the end of the day when fingers are at their largest. Avoid measuring after cold exposure or strenuous activity.

Account for Ring Width: When between two sizes, opt for the larger size if the band is wide (typically 6mm or more). The added comfort generally outweighs the minor difference in fit.

Use Professional Sizing: At-home methods with string or paper provide rough estimates. A professional ring sizer or jeweler visit offers greater accuracy. If ordering online, request a physical ring sizer or use a printable chart with a credit card verification step to confirm scale.

Consider Resizing Options: Many rings can be resized after purchase. However, titanium, tungsten, and ceramic are difficult or impossible to resize, and rings with stones set around the entire band require special techniques. If uncertain, choose a design that allows for adjustment.
