Push Pin Flat Back Studs & How To Wear
What Are Push-Pin Flat Back Studs?
Push-pin flat back studs (also known as threadless earrings) are a secure and comfortable type of body jewelry designed for everyday wear. Instead of twisting or screwing the front piece into the post, the decorative top has a small pin that can be gently bent and inserted into the flat back post. The slight bend creates tension, which keeps the earring securely in place.
They are lightweight, easy to wear, and perfect for all-day comfort.

Push-Pin (Threadless) Earrings Disclaimer
All Cor Bloom Jewelry push-pin (threadless) earring images displayed on our website show the pin in its unbent (straight) condition for presentation purposes.
When you receive your earrings, the pin of the front piece may arrive either straight or bent, depending on warehouse handling and availability. Please rest assured that both conditions are completely normal and fully functional.
Push-pin earrings are designed to work by creating tension between the front pin and the back post. To secure the earring properly:
• The pin must be gently bent to create slight curvature.
• The bent pin is then inserted into the flat-back post.
• The tension created by the bend holds the front piece securely in place.
Important Notes:
1. If you receive your earrings with the pin straight, simply bend it slightly before inserting it into the back post.
-
The more you bend the pin, the greater the tension and the more secure the fit.
-
However, please avoid excessive bending, as over-bending may damage the pin.
2. If you receive your earrings with the pin already bent, usually they are ready to wear.
-
However, if the fit feels loose, you may gently increase the bend to create more tension.
Push-pin flat-back studs are designed to be adjustable for comfort and security.

Flat Back Push-Pin Studs with Front Pieces Crafted from 925 Sterling Silver & Brass
Some of our flat-back push-pin studs feature front pieces (decorative elements) crafted from 925 sterling silver or brass, which are softer metals compared to titanium. You may refer to the description section on each individual product page for specific material details.
These materials are intentionally selected because they are skin-friendly and allow us to create more intricate, delicate, and detailed designs. In many of these styles, the decorative front is made from 925 sterling silver or brass, while the back post is crafted from 925 sterling silver or titanium, ensuring that the earrings remain hypoallergenic and gentle on the skin.
Due to the nature of softer metals, the pin component is more flexible. When worn correctly, the earring remains secure; however, proper fitting is essential to ensure optimal hold.
How to Wear Push-Pin Studs:
-
Bend the pin — the curve creates tension that helps secure the pin inside the back post.
-
Insert the decorative front (with the bent pin) into the back post and push until it feels secure.
-
You may adjust the bend slightly depending on how tight or secure you would like the fit to be.
Please note that when removing the stud (separating the decorative front from the back post), the pin may straighten due to the softness of the material. This is normal and not considered a defect. Simply re-bend the pin before reinserting to restore the necessary tension.
This flexibility allows for easier insertion and removal of the earrings while maintaining a secure fit during wear. Minor adjustments to the pin are a common and expected characteristic of flat-back push-pin jewelry made from softer metals.
By purchasing and wearing these designs, you acknowledge and accept these material characteristics as part of the intended functionality of the product.
